I watched this movie without seeing any original novels or games. I expected it to be a war movie from the title, but it turned out to be a zombie horror movie. Even though I had not read the original, no scenes bothered me, and I could enjoy the film without hesitation.
However, the death of the competent virologist who hopes to save the world in the early part of the movie (he stumbled and exploded), the zombie tower in Israel, what is this? What is this a gag? It’s funny. Suddenly, it starts singing. It is too big, zombies gather, and Israel is destroyed.
This movie is a zombie panic movie with many twists and turns.
They all act too well.
The main character in this film is a brilliant former UN investigator. He was an attractive man who was always calm but also courageous. Brad Pitt, the lead actor, played all the main characters perfectly, from the scene where he calmly copes with the tense situation surrounded by zombies to the stage where he is kind to his family under any circumstances to the brave scene where he stands alone against the zombies. I was drawn to the film as I watched it.
The protagonist is crazy strong.
The main character, Jerry Lane, is just a human being. He is just a talented former UN employee, and unless he is a skilled mercenary, he is supposed to be weak, infected with the Z virus once a zombie bites him, and he quickly turns into a zombie. In reality, however, he has the strength to fight off hordes of zombies with a single iron pipe found lying around, the luck to survive a plane explosion and crash, and the physical strength not to die even when infected with a deadly disease. I had the impression that the story’s development depended a little on the crazy power of this protagonist.
Suppose you expect a movie in which an ordinary person uses their brains to bring a zombie panic to an end through outlandish ideas and logically reasonable schemes. In that case, this may not be the movie for you. On the other hand, for those who want flashy action and like the recently famous “strongest hero” type of movie, this is the movie for you.
