<p class="wp-block-paragraph">また、ステイサムの元飛び込み競技選手という経歴を最大限活用した残虐表現に頼らず、スポーティで爽快なアクションシーンによって刺激と興奮を提供する手法は、全年齢対応のモンスター映画として画期的な試みです。</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">特に犯罪組織の動機や背景については、前作と比較してかなり雑な処理がなされており、「頭空っぽにしてバカでかいサメや爆発が観たいだけでしょ？」と観客を軽く見ているような印象を与える部分もあります。</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">この欠点ともいうべきネガティブさを本作は徹底的に娯楽映画として振り切っており、その潔さこそが魅力とも言えるでしょう。</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">時代考証と生物学的リアリティの問題</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">古生物学的な観点から見ると、本作にはいくつかの問題があります。冒頭でティラノサウルスを捕食するメガロドンが登場しますが、ティラノサウルスが絶滅したのは<strong>約6600万年前、メガロドンが登場したのは約2000万年前と、実際には共存していません。</strong>これは日本映画で戦国自衛隊のように「戦国時代を描いた時代劇に自衛隊が登場するくらい奇妙」ですね。</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">また、深海に生息していたはずのスナッパーズ（古代爬虫類）が、なぜ地上でも活動できるのかという生物学的な説明も不十分です。エラ呼吸を獲得したという設定も、現実の進化論的には非常に考えにくいものです。</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">まとめ：エンターテインメントに振り切った作品として受け入れられるか</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">『MEG ザ・モンスターズ2』の評価を決定する最大のポイントは、<strong>この作品を「純粋なエンターテインメント」として受け入れられるかどうか</strong>にかかっているでしょう。</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">本作は明確に、ストーリーの深みや人間ドラマよりも、<strong>視覚的スペクタクルとアクションの連続</strong>に振り切った作品です。「バカでかいサメと超人的ステイサムの戦い」「深海・海上・陸上で展開される怪獣プロレス」「5分に1度起こるイベントの嵐」を優先しています。</p>
